MUD – Mobile Urban Design – projects represents the development of innovative design based on existing materials and objects. MUD projects has a different take on modern life where an abundance of materials of value is available. MUD projects serves small architecture such as mobile living units or hide-outs.

Owner Boris Duijneveld applies the principle of waste-architecture; designing and sketching using materials and objects that are available. The interventions inflicted to the waste material or object serves to remove its old context and to no longer be longer recognizes as such. Directly playing with shape, material and color leads to insights that could not have been envisioned on a blanc paper sheet. It requires a different way of designing to transform existing shapes, modify or merge it into a new design that is able to stand on its own.
